Hello Dolphin families!

As everyone is probably aware, storms are scheduled to move into the Atlanta area later today. We all know summer storms and forecasts can change hour by hour – and we will continue to monitor and make adjustments to meet plans. Our priority is that our kids get the opportunity to swim, but in safe weather conditions.

PLEASE make sure you have your SwimTopia Alerts set to "on" for today. And, please continue to check for emails from us throughout the day. Things may change.

As of 11AM, our coaches and leadership have communicated with Eastmont Cove coaches and team managers and made the following plan:

- Meet will start at 5:30PM (there will be no announcements, national anthem or speaker system)

- Warm-ups for older swimmers only from 5-5:10PM

- No Medley Relays

- Volunteer Meetings (officials, timers, staging) will be at 5:10PM

- We will actively monitor the weather during the meet, and if the forecasts indicates the weather will worsen, we will go ahead and stop the meet and clear the pool deck to help ensure people get to cars and home safely.

- If your swimmer or family does not feel comfortable swimming in the rain or being at a meet in the rain, you are not required to attend. BUT please send Coach Brown an email, AND If you are scheduled to volunteer, reach out to Volunteer Coordinators to make sure your shift can be covered. 

POOL DECK:
It will not be cleared as it normally is for a meet. We will leave most of the pool furniture and will not cover the baby pool. Please don’t bring a lot of items. Sit close to your neighbor. Pack in garbage bags, ziplock bags and coolers to keep items try. Bring umbrellas if you are a volunteering. 

Because the weather is indicating possible strong winds, we are recommending people don’t set up tents. Or, bring tents with you and set up if the forecast changes to milder weather (just rain).

CONCESSIONS:
Because most of our food is prepared ahead of time, we are planning to have Concession items for sale. Bring to-go or plastic containers to help keep your food dry OR take it home for dinner.

SATURDAY:
If we are not able to officially complete the meet this evening (42 events must be completed for the meet to be official; it's NOT get to event 42, but without Medley Relays get to the end of Long Freestyle), the meet will be continued or reschedule for Saturday morning at Hanarry West.
