Coaches

Dolphin coaches are the only paid staff members of the Hanarry West swim team. Coaches, led and managed by our head coach, teach many aspects of competitive swimming, including stroke instruction, dives, turns, components of relays and building endurance. Plus, through daily practice, warm-ups, drills and fun activities, coaches encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, perseverance and confidence. Assistant, junior and 6U coaches are active members of the Dolphin swim team, serving as role models for the younger swimmers while gaining coaching experience.

HEAD COACH: ERIC BROWN

Eric Brown has served as head coach of the Hanarry West Dolphins since 2018. His first experience with summer swim was being part of Lilburn’s Cedar Creek team as a 6-year-old. Now the head coach of Parkview’s swim and diving team, his long career as a swimmer and coach includes many county championships, state championships and notable accolades, including recently being named 2021-22 Georgia coach of the year and national coach of the year. A graduate of Berry College, Brown is the chair of Parkview High School’s social studies department.

ASSISTANT HEAD COACH: ETHAN KRUGER

Ethan has been swimming for the Hanarry West Dolphins since he was in kindergarten, and you've probably seen him on the sidelines coaching the past several years. A member of the 2022 state champion Parkview Swim & Dive team, Ethan was awarded the "Panther Award," which was chosen by teammates and given to the person who best expresses the highest standards of character, academics, athletics and citizenship. Ethan is currently finishing his third year at the University of Georgia.

Join the Hanarry West Swim & Tennis Club!

The Hanarry West Swim & Tennis Club, a separate non-profit from the swim team, is now accepting members for the 2026 summer season! Join to take advantage of the pool on all the hot summer (and spring and fall) days! Plus, there's pickleball, ATLA tennis, social events year-round, and a pavilion available for rentals.
