Three Things for Thursday: June 11

1. Tonight’s Meet

It’s an away meet for the Dolphins, but you'll recognize the voices over the speakers. Snellville’s Starter had a family emergency arise, so our Starters are stepping in for this evening. A HUGE thanks to DJ Olojo, dad of swimmers Ansley and Emerysn! And a BIG thanks to Jamie Kruger, dad of Coach Ethan, Coach Kevin and Coach Monica! We really appreciate all the families who go above and beyond volunteering when there is a need. Please thank any and all of these parents you see going the extra lap. ;)

Reminder that gates open at Snelville at 5:30 – and from there things will move quickly from warmups to the staging area for the start at 6:20. Especially for our younger kids, arrive with their names, age and events already written on their arms if possible. We aren't quite sure what the Hanarry West Bullpen will look like or where it will be located this evening, so please be patient as you arrive and look for our team signs. We do know the entire pool deck is in the sun.

2. Fun Friday

This season instead of packing ALL our recognitions into the final celebration of the season, we are going to sprinkle them throughout some of our Fun Fridays. Take a look: 

June 12: Recognizing swimmers who have been a Dolphin for 10 years with embroidered towels: Alex Fennell, Mia Fennell, Luke Conway, Jason Schaefer

June 19: Recognizing Coach Ethan, who is (sadly) coaching his last season with the Dolphins, as next summer he’ll be working toward finishing his teaching degree at UGA. Coach Ethan has been a part of the Dolphin family for 14 years – and he’s always welcomed back!

June 26: Recognizing our Leadership Team! These parents have been working often before the season starts, during meets and behind the scenes to make sure our meets and events run smoothly. We'll give our swimmers a fun opportunity to say "thanks for a great season" on Friday morning.

3. Parking

We are still spotting cars parked along Emily Drive against the flow of traffic. Lilburn Police have been known to ticket for this violation, so please make sure you are parking on one side of the street with the flow of traffic.

Please avoid parking in the grassy area of the Club’s parking lot. We want to be good (or even fantastic!) guests of the Club and this area is not a parking area.
