Hello Dolphin Families!

Here are a few quick mid-month updates, especially note the spiritwear order deadline and information from the HW Club. And if you have 5 minutes, please fill out our Pre-Season Survey – we’d love your feedback as we continue to plan for 2026.

Spiritwear Order Deadline: March 23 (one week remaining!)
We have fun new designs this season – check out the pajama pants, swim mom tanks, swim dad shirts and the 2026 sunset logo. Spiritwear sales closes on March 23, when all items will be printed together.

Team Registration
Our team has reached capacity in all age groups EXCEPT: Boys 6U, Boys 7&8, Boys 11-12, Boys 13-14. If you have friends with swimmers in these age groups, please encourage them to fill out the New Family Information Form this week.

Dolphin Pups
Our Dolphins Pups registration will be open until the groups fill up, but we expect them to reach capacity – our Session 1 has only 3 spots remaining.

Volunteer & Leadership Needs
We are looking for parents who are interested in working with our leadership team in the following areas. If you would like to learn more about these positions or volunteer for one of them, please email us.
- Stroke & Turn Officials: 1.5 hours of free online training every 3 years
- Meet Starter: Free online training and in-person training with our veteran starter
- Bullpen & Staging Assistant Coordinator: Work with the amazing Coordinator Mary Borneman in the organized chaos of the bullpen and staging area
- Computer: Work with our savvy Coordinator Melissa Lawrence to input data during meets and provide necessary paperwork pre-season, pre-meets and occasionally post-season
- End of Season Celebration: Team Managers would love a volunteer to work with them in planning this event and provide organization and leadership for the event

NEW THIS SEASON

Summer Family Reunion: April 29 at Agavero Parkside, 5-8 p.m.
We are kicking off the season with an Agavero Parkside Spirit Night (a portion of proceeds from the evening will be donated to our team). Come reconnect with summer friends, meet coaches and pick up team shirts & swim caps.This will be a casual drop-in event.

Practice Schedule & Stroke Clinics
The practice schedule for 2026 is posted on the website, and you might notice 2 changes from last season:

There are practices 3 evenings each week – adding Wednesday. Evening practices are restricted to swimmers 7 years and older who are able to swim laps continuously throughout practice. No coaches will be in the water for evening practices as the team uses only 2 lanes of the pool.

Instead of regular practice on Saturday mornings, there will be FREE Saturday Stroke Clinics (formerly paid on Friday morning). These will be divided into two sessions (beginner, advanced). More information to come.

Fun Fridays
Make note of the new Fun Friday time this season: 10:30-11:30. New this year, Fun Friday will be options for volunteer shifts signups. More details to come.

Parent & Swimmer Goal Sheet
Help our coaches plan for the season by filling out the Parent & Swimmer Goal Sheets before the season starts (attached to this email). This will help coaches plan and lead practices and prepare for that sometimes chaotic first week when everyone is learning each other’s names and skills! You can email the form or drop it off on April 29.

End of Season Event: Evening of Tuesday, July 7
With a new date (and hopefully no rain!) this year, we are rethinking the format of the celebration. We are hoping for lots of feedback through our Pre-Season Survey and will share details when we have them.

NEWS FROM: HANARRY WEST SWIM & TENNIS CLUB

2026 Memberships are now open! New this year, payment plans and volunteer reimbursement at the end of the season. Join now and enjoy year-round access to tennis and pickleball courts, and seasonal pool fun.

Work Days: March 29 (grounds cleanup) and April 19 (pool deck setup), with a rain date of April 26. (The original date for the grounds cleanup has been rescheduled due to a home tennis match) Sign Up

Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 4th, 10:00am-12:00pm. See here for more details.

Tennis Tournament: In late May, the club will host a round robin tennis tournament. Open to all who are interested and to all skill levels. Date to be announced soon.
