A BIG THANK YOU to Susan Swafford and Cheri Kersey for signing up to serve as Stroke & Turn Judges this season. We are still in need of two to three more parents to train in this role. Training if done online on your own, and we have some great veterans on our team to answer questions. If you love watching the races, this role is a great way to have a good view. ORIENTATION

There will be no in person or Zoom orientation this season. Instead, we’ll be sending an orientation email next week packed full of information, links, coach information, leadership information and a few helpful PDFs.

VOLUNTEER SIGN-UPS

We are waiting on the Gwinnett County Swim League to set up our meets on the calendar – then we will set a date to open volunteer sign-ups for meets. All sign-ups will be done through SwimTopia. Certain roles require prior training (computer, stroke & turn, starter). All roles are described on our website, so please read through the descriptions before signing up. Questions? VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

We are still in need of someone to take on the leadership role of volunteer coordinator this season. This role will check the SwimTopia sign-ups prior to each meet to make sure we have enough volunteers. Then, during the meet the volunteer coordinator will check parents in (prior to meet and second half), answer questions and troubleshoot in any issues that might arrive. TEAM SUITS

We’ve had a few questions about swimsuits. Girls should be in one-piece suits and boys wear jammers. Our SwimOutlet Store will be open throughout the season, and our team does receive a portion of the sales. There is no official team suit, but please show your Dolphin spirit by picking a suit that features royal blue. Your swimmer will receive one team swim cap, but if your swimmers like to wear caps all the time, we suggest saving the team cap for meets and wearing others during practice (the SwimOutlet Store also features several caps for $6 or less).

PRACTICE STARTS MAY 13

Reminder that practice starts before school gets out! We’ll have two weeks of afternoon/after school practice. The schedule for the after school practices and the summer morning/evening practices are posted on our website.
