Pancake Social: Saturday, May 20 at 8:30 a.m.
Go to the calendar page of our website to RSVP for the Pancake Social and sign up to bring a food item. The Social is an opportunity to get to know other team parents. And, we’ll start off the event with the team photo (swimmers will receive their team shirt when they arrive to wear in the photo) and volunteer breakouts (meet with leaders and others who will be volunteering in the same role). There will also be a photo station for parents to take photos of their swimmers, and Kelly Blake will be doing paid individual photos as well (details to come soon).
Meet Volunteer Role: Breakdown
Since registration, a new volunteer role at meets has been added -- meet breakdown. If you are interested in serving in this role, please let us know: [email protected]. Parents would work after the meet ends (which is usually around 10:30 p.m.) to breakdown tables, move chairs, cleanup the pool deck and other physical tasks to get the area ready for morning practice.
Meet Volunteer Role: Stroke & Turn Judge
We need a few more parents to train as Stroke & Turn Judges this season. The training can be done on your own and consists of 3 online training videos (less than 2 hours total) and a short quiz. Certification is good for 3 years, and you don’t work alone -- each end of the pool has two judges, one from each team. The Meet section of our website has information about common reasons for disqualification. If you are interested in being trained, please send us an email: [email protected]
