Computer Volunteers Needed
The computer volunteer role is an essential meet position – we can’t run a meet without parents volunteering to enter times into the computer and make the meet official. We need several HW parents to volunteer and complete the training this season. This might be a great fit for you if you have a talent for computers and details or want a seated and shaded (sometimes even A/C) meet volunteer role. The training is free and only 2 hours. Treasurer Needed
Hanarry West is so grateful to Rachel Searcy for serving as the team’s treasurer for many years. This is her last season as treasurer, and we are looking for someone to train with her this year and take on the role next year. The treasurer serves on the HW Board and manages the team budget, whose line items include registration, spiritwear, concessions, sponsorships, coaches salaries and training and necessary supplies and equipment. During home meets, the treasurer provides support as needed to our concession stand. Obviously, this position is essential to our team – we can’t have a team without a volunteer in this role. Last Call For Headshots
We need swimmer headshots submitted by Friday for our team directory, which will be provided to coaches to help them learn the names of our more than 140 swimmers! So far, we have images submitted from just over half of our families. Any photo will do – as long as we can see your child’s face. Thank you to Kelly Blake for taking the time to put this together!

Parent Meetings
There will be two Parent Orientation Meetings to start the season – both on Zoom. You only need to attend one. To begin each meeting, we’ll give some basic information about the season and any changes for 2023. For new parents, the end of the meeting will have an overview of summer swim and an opportunity to ask questions. Concession Drink Donations
Based on survey responses, we are asking each family to donate $20 for concession drinks this season. The monetary drink donation will help us purchase exactly what we need for each meet – and save space in the very crowded swim team storage shed. You can Venmo the team at: Hanarry-Swim-Team and note “drink donation”. You can also bring cash or check to the Pancake Social on May 20.
