2019 County Championships
July 13-14 at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center
Includes the top 50 swimmers county-wide in each event and a top relay team from each swim club.
Saturday, July 13:
Morning session: 7:30 AM – 12:45 PM Ages 9 & 10
Afternoon session: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM Ages 13 & 14, Ages 15 - 18
Sunday, July 14:
Morning session: 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM Ages 6 & under, Ages 7 & 8
Afternoon session: 2:00 PM – 6:15 PM Ages 11 & 12
Directions to the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center (750 Ferst Drive):
From North, Traveling South I-75/85: Take the 10th/14th/17th St. Exit. Cross over 14th St. (the first light) and proceed to 10th St. Turn right on 10th St. Turn left onto Hemphill Ave. & continue to end (Ferst Drive). Turn right on Ferst Dr. The Aquatic Center is on the right.
From South, Traveling North I-75/85: Take 10th/14th St. exit. At the first light (10th St.), turn left. Turn left onto Hemphill Ave. & continue to end (Ferst Dr.). Turn right onto Ferst Dr. The Aquatic Center is on the right
This is a volunteer run event. Hanarry West got a great assignment this year because it is on the pool deck so an excellent view of your child’s swim. Please note: Nobody is allowed to take pictures from the pool deck. This will be strictly enforced. I have divided each shift into 2 parts. First shift is 8:30-10:30, 2nd shift is 10:30-12:30 (or meet ends). In the afternoon, the shifts are 2:30-4:30 and 4:30-7 or when the meet ends. Please make sure you have the contact information for the person working the other half of your shift. You will need to call each other to switch the badge. Please see Michele at the Award’s Night so that we can review what you need to do.
9-10 Sat. Morning Staging You will be responsible for lining up and checking in the swimmers and escorting them to the starting area of the pool. Staging is located on the Pool Deck

11-12 Sunday Afternoon Security and Ushers We will be set up in various areas around the pool deck to ensure parents are not on-deck, to help get items from parents to their swimmers if something is forgotten, and to assist some of the younger swimmers getting out of the pool. (Pool entrance, Staging area, Pool Deck , Warm-up Area, Photo Area, Hospitality, etc)
